Very few micros around where I am in the last few weeks. Is this one too worn to ID? I was wondering if this is Lobesia abscisana?
Thank you.

Hi Andrew
How big was it, only it looks like Eudemis profundana, which is generally larger than Lobesia abscisana ?

Steve

Thank you Steve.
Yes I should have paid more attention to size. It is 9mm nose to tail, so outside the stated range for L.abscisana.
On reflection it does look a reasonable match for E.profundana, which I see is still in season for another few days. This would only be my fourth garden record since 2002, though I see it is much more common in some places.
