I managed to find 70 species of Lepidoptera yesterday whilst strolling around the lanes of Goostrey, including this stunning Sycamore larva under an oak leaf.

You can see how it protects itself from bird predation, as the black-edged white spots along the dorsal area look like eyes and you are drawn to these more by the tufts of brownish-orange setae.
