This turned out to be a male Nut Bud Moth Epinotia tenerana.
It is not only NFG, but on checking my lists, it turns out that I have never seen this species before. A 'lifer' in the garden trap is always a bonus.

Nut Bud Moth
Recorded in my garden trap (27/8/2019) was another micro, that due to it's worn condition, I could not ID. I retained it for dissection.
This turned out to be a male Nut Bud Moth Epinotia tenerana.

I agree Mel, nothing better than finding new garden or new life species in your own back yard! Still happens now and again thankfully!
I've had an amazing 12 lifers this year so far, with four of those in the garden in July, three at Gowy Meadows and three at the Port Sunlight bio-blitz. The other two were found on trips to Worcester (primarily for women's international cricket!) and Minera (mainly for orchids!)
