Hi folks,
what with the weather being dreadful and having been away for weeks recently, last night was the first time I'd trapped since mid September.
It wasn't up to Mel's standards but for here it was better than OK, with 17 moths of 11 species. Chestnut (7th ever), Red-green Carpet and Geen-brindled Crescent were NFY and the Small Dusty wave our latest ever. Bit disappointing not to have at least one of the October species I like to see (Lunar Underwing, Blair's Shoulder-knot or Black Rustic) but there's still time for those I guess.

You actually did better than me last night, as my trap was more like the norm for October.
16 moths of 8 species last night (07/10/2019-10.7C min) with nothing NFY.
Catch included Large YU 3, Lesser YU, Common Marbled Carpet, Lunar Underwing, Blair's Shoulder-knot,
Tachystola acroxantha 6, Eudonia angustea 2 and an Angle Shades found when checking the ivy.
