Second Generation Yellow-tail

Post by melbellingham »

18 moths of 11 species last night (12/10/2019 – 10.5 deg. C min.) with nothing NFY, but a ‘second generation’ Yellow-tail perhaps worth a mention. My only previous ‘late’ record is from 08/10/2018.

Other moths recorded included Green-brindled Crescent 2 including form capucina, Light Emerald, Spruce Carpet, Silver Y, Red-green Carpet 2, Red-line Quaker 2, Tachystola acroxantha 5, Eudonia angustea, Garden Rose Tortrix and Brick, found again on the ivy.

With regards to other late records, third generation Holly Blue was also recorded in the garden.
