Hi all,
A very positive story about the discovery of a rare moth, the Orange Conch, changing the course of a sewer pipeline near King's Lynn. Full credit to Anglian Water - it was their survey that found the moth.

Ironically the larvae eat the roots of Ragwort - otherwise considered a "noxious or injurious weed" by some.
Quite a snappy little moth, but sadly not found in Cheshire.
