Moths flying again

Post by Greg »

Morning All

It seems that the moths have been holding back waiting for the milder, damper weather to arrive.
Last nights catch 20 of 10 species.

1 Brindled Green
1 Merveille du Jour
1 Turnip Moth
1 Blair's Shoulder Knot
2 Feathered Thorn
1 November Moth agg
4 Figure of Eight
5 Red-green Carpet
2 Light Brown Apple Moth
2 Yellow-line Quaker which were NFY

...... but a bit blustery. We had a visiting moth-er staying, giving us the fire power of three traps. The more sheltered locations did better.

30 moths of 8 species:

10 Feathered Thorn
7 December Moth
2 Winter Moth
3 Chestnut
2 Satellite
3 November Moth agg
1 Mottled Umber
2 Red-green Carpet
