Following the cold nights recently, the last two nights have been much better for moths.

Previous night (31/10/2109 – 9.2 deg. C min.)

14 moths of 8 species included Merveille du Jour, Feathered Thorn, Red-green Carpet 4, Satellite, Yellow-line Quaker 4, Black Rustic, Tachystola acroxantha and Light Brown Apple Moth.

Last night (01/11/2019 – 8.5 deg. C min. and last night of the GMS summer period).

24 moths of 10 species including Juniper Carpet (NFY), Figure of Eight, Red-green Carpet 2, November agg. 2, Common Marbled Carpet, Feathered Thorn, Yellow-line Quaker, Tachystola acroxantha 11, Light Brown Apple Moth 3 and Ypsolopha ustella.
