Here are a couple of leaf mines I found in Tytherington (Macclesfield) on Thursday.
The first, on Hazel, looks to me like Stigmella microtheriella.
The second was on Oak and looks to me like Stigmella ruficapitella, with the egg on the upperside by the margin.
Confirmation would be welcome (but not expected, since I usually get these things wrong!)

Re: A couple of leaf mines for confirmation
Hi Tim
Stigmella microtheriella looks OK with the thin black frass line at the start of the mine. I'll pass on the oak mines, as I think you need to find tenanted mines to check the larva. Even then I struggle with them.
Regards
Steve
