1 More NFY

Post by Greg »

Morning All,

Just 5 of 5 species last night including a NFY Scarce Umber which doesn't turn up every year.
I'm not expecting many more NFY's now, maybe Mottled Umber, which seems to be
on the decrease in my garden.

Ditto for us - we hadn't had a Scarce Umber either this year, but 3 turned up this morning.

The hills were blanketed in low cloud last night, so while driving on the lanes meant crawling at 20-30mph, the fine drizzle was excellent on the moth front. 51 moths of at least 8 species, including 29 December Moths and 4 Mottled Umber. I also doubt we'll have any more NFY now.

Regards, Julian
