Last Moth of the day 111

Post by Greg »

Morning all,,

As the mothing season seems to be under way. I'm going to make this my final Moth of the Day.
I may do the same again next winter. I hope it's been of interest to everyone and kept the
enthusiasm going through the quiet months.
My final moth is one of my favourites which is becoming quite rare nowadays.
They are not found in Cheshire but the neighbouring county of Shropshire.

The Stunning Silvery Arches.

Thanks for all your efforts Greg - the photos have been much appreciated.

Although I'm not sure about the weather just yet - it's still pretty miserable where we are, with gale force winds again last night!

Cheers, Julian

It's been a very enjoyable feature, with lots of moths which I've yet to see, including No 111. If you do it again next year you must start at 112 and we can look forward to finding out if you really do have 365 or 366 at your disposal.

Best regards

I second all the above. I think in the coming chilly days we might start missing Greg's moth of the day...

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you all enjoyed them. I have to admit though it was also a selfish
exercise to help moderate my withdrawal symptoms. As far as the same again next winter is
concerned, there is plenty more where they came from and I'm hoping to add to the species list
this year. Then of course there's always the micros.
Lets hope this years a great mothing season for us all with plenty of rarities in our traps.
I think we could all do with a bit of cheering up in the present situation.

Regards
Greg
