Expecting a cold night (19/03/2020), I put the trap out between 1930 hrs and 2300 hrs., and managed to record 8 moths of 5 species.

Grey Shoulder-knot (NFY) plus Common Quaker 3, Small Quaker 2, Early Thorn and Diurnia fagella.

An update over the last few days, with the slow progress continuing.

20/03/2020 (GMS) min. temp. 3.9 deg. C.
Rather disappointing with Common Quaker 3, Small Quaker, Hebrew Character and Early Grey.

22/3/2020 (1930 hrs – 2300 hrs), 4.5 deg. C. with overnight min. 0.5 C.
Red-green Carpet (NFY), Common Quaker 3, Hebrew Character 3, Small Quaker, Early Grey and Diurnia fagella.

23/03/2020 (1930 hrs – 2300 hrs), 5.5 deg. C with overnight min. 3.5 C.
Common Quaker 4, Small Quaker 4 and Brindled Pug.

25/03/2020 (1930 hrs – 2300 hrs), 6.2 deg. C with overnight min. 2.1 C.
Common Quaker 5, Early Grey 2, Small Quaker, Hebrew Character, Clouded Drab, Brindled Pug, Diurnia fagella 2 and Beautiful Plume.

26/03/2020 (1930 hrs – 2300 hrs), 4.7 deg. C with overnight min. 0.1 C.
Pine Beauty (NFY), Common Quaker 2, Small Quaker 2, Hebrew Character and Diurnia fagella 2.

27/03/2020 (GMS) min. temp. 3.5 deg. C.
Early Grey 2, Hebrew Character 3, Small Quaker 3, Common Quaker, Double-striped Pug and Pine Beauty (probable recapture).

With the colder weather forecast, progress might get a little slower.
