A few more now

A couple of trapping sessions (at my allotment on 18/03 and at home in Christleton on 19/03 have yielded a few NFY - Small Quaker, Common Quaker, Diurnea fagella and Early Grey. With reference to the latter species I have wondered why images of this moth have received more views on my Flickr site than other more obviously attractive species; in my innocence I thought it might arise through misdirected searches for Earl Grey tea, but it has dawned on me that perhaps its scientific name may offer another explanation. I shall post one giving English name only and see what happens!

Thanks; opportunities for moths will be limited this season, so I'll have more than enough time to fiddle around with backgrounds and resting positions.
