I'm getting a good range of species in my Macclesfield garden this week (22 species on Wednesday) but numbers are low and I'm only getting one of each species.
I'd welcome advice on 3 of the micros........
I believe that the first of these is Epiblema/Notocelia trimaculana but there are several similar species and so I'd welcome confirmation.
I believe the second micro is Gracillaria syringella. I've had leaf mines of this species in my garden but not seen the adult before and it doesn't look exactly like the pictures in the books so I'd welcome confirmation.
Finally, a nondescript little Coleophora sp. Perhaps Steve can advise on whether it would be worth my attempting to dissect this in order to determine the species?
Best wishes to all,
Tim
Some micros for confirmation
Re: Some micros for confirmation
The most common Coleophora flying now is Coleophora caespititiella but all need dissecting to confirm.
Notocelia trimaculana & Gracillaria syringella are both correct
