Hi all,
A few more from recent nights which require confirmation/identification. I also had my first Poplar Hawk this morning which was a nice surprise.
Thanks once again for all the help,
Alex
Yet more ID help please
Re: Yet more ID help please
Hi Alex,
Second picture I agree, looks like a Mottle Rustic, fourth a worn Turnip Moth
and your last one does look like an early Uncertain.

Hi Alex
I'm no expert, but I think your first micro is an Apple Leaf Miner, Lyonetia clerkella.

Re: Yet more ID help please
Hi Alex - I'd second Nev's ID of Lyonetia clerkella.
I've zoomed in on the other micro and brightened it slightly, but still can't make it out. You wouldn't have another photo from the side would you? The pictures in the books aren't always of the orientation you might expect, so I always like to snap a micro from left, right and above, assuming it wants to play ball.

Re: Yet more ID help please
Thanks guys for the identifications.
Sorry Julian, no more photos of the micro. I guess it going to have to remain on the unidentified list.
However, I had this micro this morning: is it a Rusty-Dot Pearl (Udea ferrugalis)?
Many Thanks,
Alex

Re: Yet more ID help please
The fourth one is a worn Small Square-spot.
The dark Pyralid is Matilella fusca, never an easy one to ID
and yes the migrant Rusty-dot pearl
Regards
Steve
