Tawny Shears?
Tawny Shears?
I trapped on the edge of Peckforton Woods last night.
I could identify 43 species but with these 4 I should like some help please.

Hi Mike

Have a look at Minor Shoulder-knot for the first and Archips xylosteana Variegated Golden Tortrix for the last.
Epinotia brunnichana or solandriana for the second and maybe for the third also.

Thanks, Steve.
I've had fairly recent records of the macro & the Variegated Golden Tortrix so should have maybe identified these two! The Epinotia(s) would be new.

Dissection on the 2 Epinotia showed both to be E brunnichana
