Handbridge Moths in 2012:

A couple of county rarities taken by Kevin Peace in his Handbridge, Chester garden last summer. Both species appear to be slowly spreading in the county and are both the fourth county records this century. I can only trace one Birch Mocha (Cyclophora albipunctata) from the last century, Alderley Edge (1992), whereas prior to the recent records our last Sycamore (Acronicta aceris) goes back to the 19th century.

Regards,
Steve
