Small Beer...:
Hi Folks,
Perhaps its an East-West thing, but trapping in Elton this week produced just two species Common Quaker Orthosia cerasi and Emmelina monodactyla. If that weren't bad enough, Roger Parry has trapped four times at Willaston and is yet to catch a single moth.
Things can only get better!

Small Beer...
Re: Small Beer...
Was it any better last night, as it was my best catch of the year, with 35 moths of 11 species, including 3 Oak Beauty, Grey Shoulder-knot, Red-green Carpet, Shoulder Stripe, Yellow Horned and this, unusual for here, two-toned Small Quaker, showing black antimedian and postmedian lines ?
Regards,
Steve

Re: Small Beer...
Not really no.
Four moths of three species. Two Clouded Drabs, one Common Quaker and one March Moth. The latter is, however, something which averages less than one per year for us.
