Moth Trapping on Friday 26th April, anyone?

If anyone is able to help with a moth event at Hurst Clough, Hattersley on Friday 26th April could they contact Steve Atkins, details below:

We are holding a Bioblitz at Hurst Clough, Hattersley which is in VC-58. Apologies for the short notice, but do you know of anyone who might be interested in running a moth trap on the evening of Friday 26th April?

The full timetable is as follows:

Friday 26th April – evening recording will start at 7pm and run until approx. 10pm. This will consist of a bat survey (including mist netting and harp trapping), setting small mammal traps and hopefully moth trapping.

Sat 27th April – early morning session starting at 7am to 9am. Bird survey and inspecting mammal traps.
For both of the above we will be meeting in the Hattersley Library car-park at the back of the Community Hub on Underwood Road – Google map link: http://goo.gl/maps/72j4y

Sat 27th April – main recording session from 9.30 am to 3pm. Please sign in at the Bioblitz base-camp - Google Map link:– http://goo.gl/maps/eYzsv, where you will be able to collect a map of the site (split into recording compartments) and recording forms. These are also available to download from our website: http://www.gmwildlife.org.uk/news/index.php?id=136 should you want to view them beforehand.

If you know of anyone else who would be interested in attending either as a recorder (of any taxonomic group,) or just to enjoy the day, please feel free to circulate this email.

Kind regards,

Steve
