Oak Bush-crickets ?

Morning All,

Last night while moth trapping in woodland on Fenn's Moss Shropshire, I noticed green bush crickets climbing up the trunks of Oaks and Alder trees, many were ovipositing in the cracks in the bark. There were a good number, I counted at least 30 in a small area. They were obviously taking advantage of the mild weather to do their business.

This morning I discovered they were probably Oak Bush-crickets. I couldn't find any information regarding their life cycle, so I don't know if this is a common occurance in mid November.

I would be grateful for any information.

Regards,
Greg
