Spawning Tonight ?
Had a group of Explorer Scouts down at Clincton LNR last night. During our wanderings I observed a lot of fish spawning activity - I am going to stick my neck out on this one and say that owing to the size, colouration and bubbling behaviour, they were Tench (Tinca tinca).
I had good prolonged views via my 8X Bins - can I RODIS it Steve
We don't get many fish records...

confusingly Steve, Pond 5
the one nearest to the top north west of site - long linear pond after woodland 5 if you refer to the GHalton map...

Ha, I didn't put Pond 5 did I ?? Sorry !! I wouldn't mind but I was the one who numbered the ponds when I originally did the survey work for Paul Oldfield and HBC.
Nice pond that one - it has Fish Leech (Geometra piscicola) in it.
Go on get your record in - couldn't be Bream could they ?? Never know what these anglers introduce.
