People, Ponds and Water

From Dr Jeremy Briggs, Director, People, Ponds and Water Project:

The People, Ponds & Water project is sadly coming to a close at the end of March 2018. Without the time, effort and dedication of our wonderful volunteers, the project would not have been such a magnificent success. We’ve had a fantastic three years and to celebrate the projects achievements, and as a thank you to all of the volunteers, we are holding a big celebration.

Please join Freshwater Habitats Trust to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the People, Ponds and Water project. The event will focus on the contribution citizen science and volunteer engagement has made to freshwater monitoring and conservation throughout England and Wales. We will be sharing the main findings from the project and telling you a little bit more about Freshwater Habitats Trust, what we have learnt and where we will go next. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussions throughout the afternoon. Please see below for event details:

Chester Zoo Lecture Theatre, Moston Road, Upton-by-Chester, Upton, Chester, CH2 1EU

Free event, including refreshments (Booking essential)

We hope you’ll be able to join us. Please find attached the programme to give you a taste of the day. To book your place, please RSVP to: peoplepondswater@freshwaterhabitats.org.uk by Friday 19th January. There are limited spaces available so bookings will be based on a first come, first serve basis.
