Wildlife Exchange Session 25th April 2018

Post by RachelMC »

Another Evening Wildlife Exchange Session at Chester Zoo:

Venue: Mottershead Suite, Cedar House, Chester Zoo

‘On the trail of the Jumping spider’

Spider expert Richard Gallon will take us through the results of his recent Jumping spider (Sitticusfloricola) survey on the Shropshire and Cheshire Mosses. Richard will explain how the use of historical data and new survey techniques can turn up some fascinating finds, even on well recorded sites. We will also be joined by the new Cheshire county spider recorder Rich Burkmar who will be on hand to give an introduction to Cheshire spider records and an overview of the planned survey works in the area.

These evenings will provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions will also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

We are now using Eventbrite to take bookings for these events, book your place by clicking the Ticket link below. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
