RESCHEDULED Wildlife Exchange Session: Building a bird haven

Post by RachelMC »

See post below in this thread - Rescheduled to Weds 24th April

Wildlife Exchange Session: Building a bird haven: how to attract birds to your garden

This will take place on Wednesday 30th January 2019 at 7pm. Venue: Mottershead Suite, Cedar House, Chester Zoo

Join us for our first Wildlife Exchange Session for 2019, as we welcome bird expert and ecologist, Dr Anne Brenchley. As part of her work, Anne provides bespoke garden advice to individuals wishing to make their gardens more sustainable and wildlife friendly. She will join us to discuss how growing the right plants, creating enticing 3D structures and providing artificial nest sites and additional food resources can increase the number and variety of birds we can attract to our gardens.

These evenings provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

Tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.

Hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo.

Sorry folks, but this session has been cancelled due to the weather and the risk of ice and snow this evening.
