Cheshire Badgers: what’s not written in the textbooks

A unique look at badger behaviour in Cheshire

For our February Wildlife Exchange Session, we play host to Helen Bradshaw and Jane Cullen from the Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group (WCBG). Helen and Jane have been involved in the badger group for nearly ten years, during which time, they have learned that badgers pay little or no attention to textbooks and, in some cases, appear to purposefully contradict them.

What is going on? Come along to hear what fascinating, odd and amusing things Cheshire badgers have been getting up to and perhaps what led to these curious changes in behaviour.

These evenings provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

Tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.

Hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo.

It's FREE, but please book your place here
