A new approach to recording Cheshire's elusive mustelids.

For our March Wildlife Exchange Session, we are continuing with our mammal theme; this time we are joined by Roy Leigh and Andy Harmer who will take us through their Mustelids in Cheshire Project. Mustelids found in Cheshire include; Weasel, Stoat, Polecat, Mink, Otter & Badger. The project seeks to generate more records and, by doing so, improve our collective understanding of mustelid ecology and distribution within Cheshire.

During the session Roy and Andy will take us through some of the innovative recording methods they are adopting to capture records of these elusive mammals.

These evenings provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

Tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.

Hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo.
