Wildlife Exchange Session: Moths

Post by RachelMC »

Join us for May's Wildlife Exchange Session where Cheshire's macro-moth recorder, Steve Holmes, will talk about what his role entails, from validating records and answering queries to co-creating an e-Atlas for Cheshire's Moths.

Date And Time: Wed, 29 May 2019 - 19:00 – 21:00 BST

Location: Mottershead Suite, Cedar House, Chester Zoo, Chester, CH2 1LH

He will also discuss recent population trends in Cheshire and you may be surprised to hear of the speed of some county colonisations or disturbed by the rate of particular losses. You'll leave convinced of the benefit of submitting your records, with a few tips on how best to do so.

These evenings provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

Tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.

Hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo
