Wildlife Exchange Session 26th June 2019

Post by RachelMC »

For June's Wildlife Exchange Session we will be joined by Ness Garden's Botanist Tim Baxter.

About this Event
Tim will share with us his experiences of organising a bioblitz and some of the pros and cons of running such an event. He will look at the successes and failures of the Ness Gardens events and asks the simple question of how useful bioblitz's are for organisations. There have been some interesting results from the work at Ness and a lot has been learned about how to run any Bioblitz event.

Tim has a long history of involvement in wildlife recording, both at Ness and his native home of Herefordshire.

These evenings provide an opportunity for wildlife recorders, conservationists and anyone with an interest in local wildlife to get together in a relaxed environment and find out about our natural environment and how it is changing. The ‘exchange’ sessions also allow sharing of ideas, knowledge, experience and views on Cheshire’s natural history and how we can monitor and conserve it.

Tea/coffee and snacks will be provided.

Hosted by RECORD and Chester Zoo.

Venue: Mottershead Suite, Cedar House - Chester Zoo, Caughall Road, Chester, CH2 1LH
