Dung beetle training day

Post by John_Bratton »

Next month I am doing a dung beetle day at Pensychnant Nature Conservation Centre, Sychnant Pass, Conwy. I would put it on the Record calendar, but I can't work out how to. Please note, it is an introduction, nothing advanced.

Saturday 4th July, 10.30 - 5ish An Introduction to Dung Beetles

An introduction to the ecology and identification of dung beetles, mainly scarabs and hydrophilids: a talk, fieldwork, then identification of specimens, including dissection. Limited number of microscopes available. There should be a variety of species in the pastures around Pensychnant, but feel free to bring your own. Bring rubber gloves if squeamish. Tutor: John Bratton. Book with Julian Thompson by 27 June, 01492 592595. Cost £10.

Thanks for putting it on the calendar.

The grid ref for Pensychnant might be useful: SH751770.
