Image of Rhinoceros Beetle Sighting at Burton Mere:
Hi All,
Male Rhinoceros Beetle (Sinodendron cylindricum) seen and photographed at Burton Mere Wetlands.
I would be interested to know its status and distribution in Cheshire. This was certainly a first for me.
Cheers,
H

It does indeed seem to be a new site for Sinodendron cylindricum Harry - well done.
Having said that I am sure there would be more sites showing for this species if all the Cheshire Coleoptera records from all the Coleopterists (past and present) were available from within the rECOrd database. There is still, even now, a long way to go before all the naturalists and recorders put all their sightings and past data holdings into rECOrd - roll on the day it happens !!!
Cheers,
Steve
