Chrysolina americana (Rosemary leaf-beetle):

Hi,

Today I was working on an allotment project at the Halton Brook children's centre in Runcorn (SJ52908192) and I found this colourful beetle. The photograph is not brilliant and I've not come across this beetle before but I am sure this is Chrysolina americana (Rosemary leaf-beetle) ?

How common are they?

Only just read this. I had a Rosemary Beetle in my garden in Great Sankey, Warrington in October 2009. First time I had seen one.
