Oedemera nobilis Alsager

Not seen these before round here, have you got many sightings? Ignore the date on the photo! Caught on the window today in Alsager.

Hi,
First noticed these last summer and we've had a few more this summer in Northwich. The aptly-named Swollen Thighed Beetle, although only the males have the swollen thighs. Their arrival in our garden coincides with the emergence of ox-eye daisies and the males commandeer the biggest flowers on which to show off their magnificent appendages. This photo was taken on the 9th June.
I'm not sure when they first arrived in Cheshire, but they seem to be well-established now.

I don't think this species was very common in this area a few years ago but it certainly is now.
