Northern Coleopterists' Meeting 2012

Post by SteveMcBill »

The Annual Northern Coleopterists' Meeting:

The annual Northern Coleopterists' Meeting will again be held at Manchester Museum from 10am on Saturday 22nd September 2012.

Please can everyone pass on the details of the meeting to as many interested people as possible and don't forget that Dmitri Logunov and Phil Rispin are only too pleased to allow access to the entomological collections housed at the museum, provided a bit of warning is given in advance. In fact the more people that use them, the better. Either phone Dmitri on: 0161 275 2666 - or e-mail: dmitri.v.logunov@manchester.ac.uk

Summary Agenda:

10.15-10.45 'Subterranean Beetles: The British Fauna in Context of the World' - Graham Proudlove
10.45-11.00 Tea/Coffee
11.00-11.45 `Beetle Diversity in Dunes and Pine Plantations at Newborough, Anglesey' - Dick Loxton
11.45-12.30 `The Rediscovery and Current Status of Cryptocephalus coryli at Sherwood Forest NNR' - Trevor Pendleton
12.30-13.15 `Beetles and Buglife: Conservation Work in the UK' - Sarah Henshall
13.15 Lunch
14.15-16.30 Identification and informal discussion session in the Entomology Department.

Hope to see you there.
