Back in the Saddle

Post by SteveH »

Hi Folks,

we've FINALLY managed to get our trap back in working order - its only taken us since late April! As you may have read, once we turned it on the whole house tripped out for some reason. Anyway, we tried replacing this bit and that bit but eventually had to send the electrics away to Angian Lepidopterist Supplies, who completed the necessary works - free of charge I might add, so hats off to them!

Anyway, what of our first session - not too bad, 82 moths of 24 species - ALL NFY! Stand out species were: two Elephant Hawk-moths, a Purple Thorn and a handsome Thistle Ermine.

Cheers,
Steve

Good to hear that you are back trapping again Steve
If you were going to have to miss any June then this year was a good one to miss.
Regards
Steve
