Just realised we have a designated Gall Forum - is there an easy way to shift this along to there ?

Hi Anno,

Yes, that is Pemphigus spyrothecae on Poplar leaf petioles. Watch out also for the galls on the petioles of Pemphigus bursarius - similar to P.spyrothecae but without the spiral contortion and they are considerably scarcer (in my experience).

Ref. switching the forum to which your query is posted I'm afraid I don't know of any way other than a repost in the correct one and a delete here - probably not what you wanted to hear. Maybe the staff at rECOrd know of an easier way ??

Cheers,
Steve
