Deraeocoris flavilinea:
Deraeocoris flavilinea ??
Deraeocoris flavilinea ??
Hi All,

Tried to send in a record of the Miridae bug Deraeocoris flavilinea from Gilroy Park (SJ225877) dated 24th June 2008. This was new to the UK as recently as 1996. Would this be new to VC 58 or is there a glitch in the program.

It could be that I have identified it wrongly ?

Harry

Hi Harry,

What were you searching on ? I've done a RODIS Species Search for the period from 1985 which threw up 14 records, all post-2011 and 8 from 2015.

The species name listed is "Deraeocoris (Deraeocoris) flavilinea (Deraeocoris (Deraeocoris) flavilinea) - Insect - true bug (Hemiptera)"

Hi Rachel,

I hadn't realised that you needed to submit the subgenus (Deraeocoris ). I have since successfully searched for the species. This record from 2008 would predate all other records by three years.

Thanks for your help,i will now send in the record.

Cheers,
Harry
