The Slug That Thought It Was A Spider:
This sSug was hanging from a thread made of its own slime from the ridge of our greenhouse. It let itself down slowly over 15 minutes or so until it landed on a tomato leaf. I have never seen this behaviour before and did not realise how strong the thread of slug slime could be.
From the pictures on the Flikr Slug Identification site it might be Lehmannia valentiana with its two stripes along its back.
