Salmon In The Mersey:
On Tuesday 17th November 2009 (late morning), Les Jones (of Warrington Nature Conservation Forum) observed 4 Salmon (Salmo salar) leaping the New Woolston Weir (SJ652887) on the River Mersey, Warrington.
Even though it's getting late in the season, the present rain should help keep them running upstream.
Should anyone else observe any leaping the weir could they please report them to rECOrd for inclusion within the database - contact: hannah@rECOrd-LRC.co.uk
