Just so people know that the book is now available (as at November 2015), my copy arrived on the 9th November 2015 in the post.
It is published by British Wildlife Publishing and is entitled "Field Guide to the Bees of Great Britain and Ireland", by Steven Falk, Illustrated by Richard Lewington. It contains keys to species as well as detailed information on each species, photographs of said species and distribution maps for each.
Overall an excellent book which should reinvigorate recording of Bees within Britain in a similar way to the manner in which Hoverfly recording was promulgated and promoted by Alan Stubbs Hoverflies book over 20 years ago.
