* Mitchell, A.F. (1978) A Field Guide to the Trees of Britain and Northern Europe.

Collins Mitchell, A.F. (1978) Conifers in the British Isles: A descriptive handbook No 33. TSO

The 'new' Collins guide in my opinion is nowhere near as good, Mitchell is superb and not afraid to give opinion !
