Herewith a pic of one of the Firethorn larvae (5th instar ?) having pupated ?

I am not being clever, just a beginner.

Hi Barry,

I have been told that once opened, Phyllonorycter mines rarely emerge, so it will be interesting to see whether or not you are successful, although catching one just as it was about to pupate may increase your odds.
