Micros For ID and Confirmation:

We had 29 species of micro last night. There were many we are not sure about.

An all black moth we think is Parys ruficeps, dark form.
Ephestia unicolorella woodiella.
Paraswammerdamia nebulella.
and Parornix anglicella.

There was also a nice Argyrethia conjugella and a worn moth we are not sure if there are enough marking to identify it; unknown Z.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Helen & Bob,

Can't be much help I'm afraid - the only certain thing is that your Parornix is a genitalia job in the adult stage ......

Of the others, probably is nebulella and 'unknown Z' might be a Nemapogon ......

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Bob & Helen,

I doubt that anyone will be able to help you further, as they are not species that can be easily identified from photos. If you check the NMRS guidelines, most of these need dissecting.

Steve
