Another Sprawler (Asteroscopus sphinx):

Only 7 moths last night but, like Greg, we nearly missed our Sprawler.
The specimen had feathered antennae so would be a male ?
A first for us.

Hi Bob & Helen,

Another good record of yours.

Unfortunately, it wasn't me who caught the previous Sprawler, that was Kevin's. I've yet to see one. Because of their late flight time, I reckon they could be under-recorded and as we are on the northern edge of their range, maybe, like a few other species, they could be gradually moving north.

So, they may start turning up more regularly in the future.

Regards,
Greg
