Morning All

A better night last night 49 of 16 species including a late Golden-rod Pug and this fresh Turnip Moth.
I made a mistake of viewing the UK MOTHS FLYING TONIGHT facebook page this morning where moth-ers
around the country share their catches. What with Clifton Nonpareil, Large Ranunculus, Marsh Mallow Moth,
Blair's Mocha etc etc etc on show IT'S TOTALLY OUT OF ORDER

Hi Greg,

I don’t use Facebook, but I do look at the ‘Atropos Flight Arrivals’ page occasionally, which also has regular reports of the species ‘normally seen in the south’. I end up feeling green with envy, just like you, and then wonder why I bothered to look.

56 moths of 15 species in my trap last night, of which my second Lunar Underwing, third Centre-barred Sallow and Blair’s Shoulder-knot NFY were the best.

One day though………

Mel.

Hi Greg and Mel
My catnip is the Upper Thames moth site, use it for i.d. purposes, but get so jealous of the moths they get. Mind you I get jealous of some of the moths on here, never had Lunar Underwing for instance!!

Cheers
