The current short mild spell resulted in a decent catch in my garden last night:

12 Spring Usher
8 Chestnut
6 Tortricodes alternella
4 Dotted Border
4 Pale Brindled Beauty
2 Acleris ferrugana/notana
1 Common Quaker
1 Oak Beauty

Here’s a group photo after a few escapees.

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

I thought I'd done reasonably well last night, until I read your post. That's quite a haul for January.
Mine were.
2 Pale Brindled Beauties
2 Chestnuts
1 Dark Chestnut
1 Common Quaker
and a surprising Angle Shades.

Greg

Thanks for depressing me guys :-)

I don't get that many moths until about the middle of May....

Cheers,
Steve
