Corizus hyoscyami on Wirral coast:
I recently found two adults of the strikingly coloured bug Corizus hyoscyami at Heswall Fields cliffs on the Wirral coast (SJ246822). There were two adults on Restharrow (Ononis repens) which was plentiful along the upper shore at the base of the cliffs. According to County Recorder Steve Judd's recently published county true bug checklists, this species hasn't been recorded in Cheshire since before 1906 - a long time to wait!
