Fungal Rusts:

Now is a good time to begin looking for fungal rusts on various plants; below can be seen a couple found so far this year (2015):

: Ramson and Arum Rust (Puccinia sessilis) on a
Ramsons leaf

: Dock Rust (Puccinia phragmitis) on a
Broad-leaved Dock Rumex obtusifolius leaf

The rust which affects Common Nettle (Urtica dioica) - (Puccinia urticata) - is also present at the moment - sadly, no photo of it at so far - see over at: http://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/rust-fungus - as well as the rust Puccinia pulverentula on Great Willowherb - again, no photo at the moment.
