Fungi Horde:
Hello all,
I received a call from a Chester resident regarding an interesting blue fungus she had found on a housing estate just outside Chester City Centre. She felt they may be noteworthy and wanted someone to go and have a look.
I went over this morning on my way into work and was a little surprised at what I found. Not so much for the rare species, but the sheer quantity of species under a single hornbeam in one isolated area.
Below are some images I took with my phone - so not great I'm afraid.
Can I ask for assistance with the ID's please and could you let me know whether this is a noteworthy haul?
The Bolete, I thought might be Birch Bolete as it was under hornbeam?! However the colour underneath the cap was brown and not milky like the birch seems to be?
Thanks,
Eric
