Barn Owl Sighting - 17/01/2010:

Last night, at 10:39pm, I watched a Barn Owl (Tyto alba) flying over Speke Road at GR SJ47228496. It was caught in my headlights and I was able to watch it cross the complete road from North to South, by which time I was quite close to it. A wonderful sight.

nice record Steve - one used to be around a couple of years back - always had suspicions it used the Airport area, but Barnies are always a buzz when you see them.

Hope it can avoid traffic....
