Please find attached the latest edition of E-moth for your information. It includes an update on the National Moth Recording Scheme, the date of next year’s UK Moth Recorders’ Meeting and a summary of some of the talks presented at the UK Moth Recorders’ meeting held in January this year.

It includes an update on the National Moth Recording Scheme, details of how to book for the UK Moth Recorders’ Meeting in January, a progress report on the forthcoming Atlas of Britain and Ireland’s Larger Moths and an article about moth recording in Scotland.

The E-Moth May 2020 newsletter is now available to download from the Butterfly Conservation website:

Contents include updates on the National Moth Recording scheme, some guidance on the preferred way to record bred immature stages collected from the wild, Moth Night 2020, rare moths in the Breckland, the Pale Shining Brown, the Field Guide to the Caterpillars and research surveys.

It is not yet available to download from the Butterfly Conservation website, but I'll update this post when it is!

This edition includes booking details for the 2021 UK Moth Recorders’ Meeting, the normal update on the NMRS, BC’s Data Review work along with a few other interesting articles: two on monitoring and surveying rare moths in Scotland.
